At DIS, experience is not a date on paper: it lies in the teams who are still here. More than 150 of our staff have served the company for over twenty years. This continuity is our first guarantee: knowledge of the ground, staff vetted over many years, reduced internal risk.
From 1988 to today

The founding
Dakar Intérim Sécurité opens its doors: a head office, the first operations logs, the first guarding assignments and a first banking client, the BIAO.
- 1990s
Guarding scales up
Headcount grows, the licence is extended to the whole country and a first network of regional branches is set up.
- 1997
The Derambure family
The company is taken over by the Derambure family, who still run it today.
- 2000
Cash-in-transit
Launch of cash and valuables transport for banks.

A presidential campaign
DIS provides security for a winning presidential campaign: the trust of leading figures, at a decisive moment in the country's life.
- 2010s
The regions and major projects
K9 units, remote monitoring and outsourced ATM management. DIS supports the infrastructure that connects the country, including the Trans-Gambia Highway.
- 2019
A stronger base
Share capital increased to 130 million CFA francs.
- 2020
Advanced video surveillance
Roll-out of advanced video surveillance and remote monitoring services.
- 2023
The Sambangalou dam
Security of the Sambangalou hydroelectric scheme for VINCI Grands Projets (OMVG), in the Kédougou region.
- 2026
The control centre and DIS Command
Commissioning of the control centre and the DIS Command platform; ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 process launched.

Next steps
Targets: ISO 9001 certification and the opening of the Dakar cash processing centre.

Standards acquired internationally
Beyond the history of DIS in Senegal, our management brings experience gained on the international stage, through a French company, in some of the most demanding contexts in the industry.
It has carried out protection assignments at the Cannes Film Festival and major international festivals, co-founded a bodyguard training centre in Dubai in 2003 and provided protection for members of Gulf royal families.
These assignments were not carried out by DIS in Senegal: they reflect the personal background of our management, and the level of standards it brings to our operations. In this business, discretion is a rule: we do not name the people we have protected.

More than 150 women and men have served DIS for over twenty years. They know the sites before they arrive, the clients by name, the habits of a neighbourhood or a plant.
